The History of Safe Food

The introduction of the Food Production (Safety) Act 2000 established Safe Food as Queensland's food safety regulator.
Safe Food is proud to support Queensland’s meat, dairy, eggs, seafood and seed sprout industries to achieve compliance with Australian food safety standards and continuously drive best practice.

Queensland is known for producing some of the highest quality fresh produce in the world. When we all work together to produce safe food, we help to maintain healthy communities and create more market opportunities that drive Queensland’s economy.
