Conga Foods is conducting a recall of Sacla` Classic Basil Pesto 190g and Sacla` Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto 190g.
Distribution: The products have been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths, Independent grocery stores (including IGAs except in NT) nationally and online.
Date markings: Best Before dates from 31/07/2021 until 31/01/2022, with date marking located on the back label of the jar.
Problem: The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (peanut).
Food safety hazard: There is a risk that the products with these best before dates may contain traces of peanuts. Any consumers with a peanut-related allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.
Country of origin: Italy
What to do: Anyone who suffers from a peanut-related allergy should not consume any of these products and should instead return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, or contact us directly via phone 03 94879500 or via email [email protected].
For any consumer who does not suffer from peanut-related allergy, all Sacla` products, including products with above best before dates, continue to be safe and suitable for consumption and do not need to be disposed of or returned.
